I’m dying over utilizing texture on the surface of this home in Jerusalem, Israel. Designed by Paritzki Liani Architects, the home – known as Barud – was named after the “warning identify shouted by improvement employees sooner than exploding the rock mountain in Jerusalem.”
From the architects:
It’s superfluous to emphasize that, from our very first go to to the situation, impressed by a pink Cyclamen rising out of the rocky face, we decided to allow ourselves to be guided by the raw state of the terrain. Our treatment of the situation emerged from this stabilitas loci, which we subdivided into three principal themes: Jerusalem, a metropolis of rock and stone; giant aerial views; and the sacred construction of a variety of religions intersecting inside the skyline. These footage composed the texture and backdrop for the enterprise.
Inside, there’s additional texture – this time from an uncovered rock wall encased in glass. Jogs my memory of those life-measurement reveals inside the museum of cave males and woolly mammoths.
