I really like design and I really like espresso. However I don’t like waking up inside the morning. Nevertheless, the NESCAFÉ® Alarm Cap might make it a bit easier to stand up and out of bed… It’s a restricted model 3D-printed cap that glows and performs completely totally different sounds to awaken you.
The cap was developed by Publicis Mexico’s Innovation Lab in collaboration with NOTlabs, the inventive studio of Los Angeles based, design inspiration agency, NOTCOT Inc. It makes use of seven completely totally different tones synchronized with delicate, which are scientifically confirmed to create a mushy and pure awakening, ending everytime you open the cap to profit from the aroma of NESCAFÉ®.
Each bit was hand-assembled in California, with the exteriors 3D printed in nylon by Shapeways on an SLS printer, and the interiors 3D printed on a Makerbot, an FDM printer. The cap’s interface combines an OLED show, a four means joystick, and runs on an Arduino-based platform.
